My Bio
Name and Age: Soren Legard, Age: 35, Height: 5'7.33”
Support Unit: Niko, Age: Active for four or five years on and off, Height: About 2' standing on his hind legs.

Soren comes from a long history of being in and out of various types of work. He seems to have come from another country, originally a military man there, although what exact position he held while in service is lost to records. It was sensitive to information that could not be shared freely. He's not one to mention the time or even act as if it had ever happened. To this day, he can't decide if he left due to some disagreement between himself and the higher authority or that he simply wanted to retire. Either way, he found himself in Innerpeace when he was about 32. For a short time, he joined the police force of Innerpeace and worked within those ranks, but found himself again at odds with powers that be. Through reckless and wandering, he was picked up by Raiders. He worked out a deal with them to join up as a member of sorts, hanging around with this particular group for quite some time. At this point he found a damaged Niko, salvaging the poor thing and taking him on as a partner.

With Niko's help, Soren was more willing to get back into the business of dealing with information, one of his specialties from his military days. While he didn't particularly like this line of business, he got to be damn good at it. Raiders at various levels sought him out for finding information on good places to sack as well as information from people in the cities and even within smaller groups of the Raiders. He didn't take up any alliances in particular, although fairly loyal to the original group he had joined. Stealing info from one group to another earned him quite a few enemies, so much so that while on a mission, some of these enemies caught him and Niko both; tossing them into a deep pit in the middle of some ruins to rot. This pit turned out to be an old elevator shaft and while he was fairly damaged from the drop, he managed to pull himself into the connecting room, finding an abandoned lab full of various things included Model S. Model S reached out to him, claiming they could make a deal right there: Join up right there and they could both escape. Soren debated on it a long time; he was old, probably bound to croak before too long anyway. But with some pushing, he agreed. Megamerging with Model S, he was in good enough shape to climb up the elevator shaft with Niko in tow.

Once on the surface again, he sought out repair and simply returned to being a Raider; twice as wary of backstabbers however. With Model S' help, he became far more efficient at his work, taking on more and being able to finish it in half the time. He started charging fees, high ones as the jobs got steeper. At the end of each mission, he'd simply take his money and disappear. He bought himself a place to lie low in Innerpeace under one of his many, many assumed names and used that as a 'base' or private place to feel safe as time went on.

A few years have passed since finding Model S and Soren has simply fallen into this sort of pattern.

Soren plays like he's a stupid or old often, sometimes for fun, sometimes to sort of disarm anyone he meets. He's generally playful and teasing, able to get along with almost anyone willing to put up with his antics. He's prone being completely irresponsible except when his job is involved. Even then, it seems sort of iffy at times. Even if he doesn't really like a person—in fact even if he hates them, he can play nice with them, faking the same old attitude as always. He generally doesn't get personally involved with too many people however, making friends but never sticking around too long. When disarmed or caught on any of his faults, he'll try to squirm out of a situation however he can, often leading to a lot of lost friendships.

He has a hobby of drinking, at least he considers it one; his system particularly well geared against intoxication, so a round of drinking with the man goes on for a very long time. Otherwise, he likes to wander and get himself lost, cook, gamble or whatever keeps him from being bored.

Soren is a reploid, usually noticeable for his glasses and trademark grin. He's fairly good with disguises and wearing all sorts of things; it's hard to see him dressed any one way. He carries himself like he's a bigger guy, but he's a little on the short side, but doesn't make much of it.
Niko is cute little ferrety thing with dark fur and a bandana around his neck. He'll sometimes wear a little backpack of various equipment he might need for a job. His appearance is based on the unused character, Tinker, for Megaman Legends

He generally doesn't carry any weaponry now that he has his biometal with him, but he does have his support AI/pet, Niko. Niko has a few abilities he can use to aid Soren in his information hunting outings.

- Niko can communicate directly with Soren at anytime, as well as record anything he himself is seeing or hearing.
- Soft Step: Niko can walk over almost any surface completely silent and because of his small size he's a bit harder to detect with any sort of technology, but only marginally so.
- Gotta Split!: Niko gets a boost of speed, built for getting him out of a jam. The boost lets him scamper away twice as fast, but only for 25 seconds.

Niko is not suited to combat, beyond maybe throwing rocks and spitting verbal abuse. More often than not he sits on Soren's shoulder and says things that get them in trouble. Soren had found Niko pretty beat up at some point in his time in the Raiders and had him repaired, but he came out with a less-than-helpful personality. However, Soren finds ways to talk the robot rodent into helping out on their missions and finds his skills generally beneficial. Niko has even helped get him out of a pinch more than once. While the outside doesn't make it particularly clear, they do have a steady sense of teamwork and trust one another when they're in trouble.

Soren has basic training in handling average military grade guns. He's not particularly adept with them, but can point and shoot. However, he doesn't carry any weapons generally. Both Niko and Soren can use basic hacking equipment, although it is not installed in them; they require external equipment they have to get and have on their person.

Model S – Spider - The biometal himself is very aloof and doesn't speak often. He keeps quiet, but often gives Soren direction; although his reasoning is not always clear. He doesn't particularly care for his chosen, but he works with him as necessary.

Model S is based on Spider, a biometal with heavy emphasis on evasion, constant motion and a card-based system of attack.

- One Pair: Model S attacks with both wrist mounted blasters, shooting thin, fast, card-shaped plasma shots. This is his basic attack, which comes at no WE cost.

- Two pair: At the cost of 2% WE a second, Model S can shoot twice as many cards twice as fast at 1.5 strength. This skill can only be used for a maximum of 5 seconds at a time, with a single post cooldown.

- Draw: Model S has the ability to 'draw' cards for some of his bigger attacks. This can be done at any time except when he is firing. Each card drawn floats around and close to the user's body. They can be applied to any of the following attacks. There's no limit on draws until he runs out of WE. 15 cards can be drawn at a time and remain within his “hand.”

Drawn cards can be attacked and taken out by melee attacks. However, if 5 or more cards are taken out in close range, they explode with the power of a level one shot, hurting the attacker and not Soren.

- Straight: Cards in 'hand', Model S throws out five cards at any number of opponents within a given area (about 10 feet across, if the enemies are fairly well lined up and cards are fired directly across in a straight line; he may space them out to get a few bursts closer). Whether the cards hit the enemy directly or the ground around them, they burst upward with a non-elemental plasma shot about as powerful as fully charged buster shot. (Each singular burst of the cards is approximately 2 feet in diameter and shoot up 7 feet.) Cost to use this attack is 5% WE with a one post cooldown.

- Straight Flush: Works the same as Straight, except the cards bursts can be any mixture of three elements, fire, ice and lightning. All five cards can be the same element or a mix, it's up to Soren's judgement on the situation. No single one is too much stronger than his regular plasma blasts; it exists for the sake of having an elemental edge when he might need it. The attack costs 9% WE to use with a 2 post cooldown.

- Full House: This shoots a one to ten card burst of shots; appearing like his regular buster shoots but functions through his draw-system. The plasma is not the usual color dependent on the status-effect the card causes. Cards are black for blindness, yellow for stun and purple for poison. The strength of the status effect is based on how many cards make contact.

1 card causes any of the three effects: 1 card will net the status effect for 2 seconds; 2 cards will cause 4 seconds, 3 cards for 6 seconds of the effect and so on; doubling until maximum of 10 cards for 20 seconds of effect.

Blindness causes the enemy to be unable to see clearly usual manual seeing and messes with any program sighting on weapons or reploids. Stunning an enemy makes them unable to move from the spot they are in; unless they're in the air in which case they lose control of their jump. Poison causes the constant decrease of health or a feeling of weakness for the period that it lasts. WE cost is dependent on the number of cards shot. One card is 1% WE and the full 10 cards is 10%, one percentage up per card shot; regardless of whether it hits or not. Full House has a two post cooldown.

- Royal Flush: This move calls for a five card hand, all five hitting the ground or targets at once in the shape of a circle. From the inner circle, a giant burst of purple-pink plasma bursts forth immediately; damaging anyone within or above with circle. The circle has a diameter of about 20 feet, shooting up about half that. The blast hits for about the strength of three fully charged shots at a cost of 20% WE.

- Spider Magic: If Soren has exactly 7 cards drawn at the moment, he can activate this skill at that cost along with 20% WE. For 5 seconds he can burst wrist mounted shots that lower the armor/defense of the enemy hit with the cards by a maximum of 15%. These shots fire at regular speed like a normal shot; acting no different than a regular shot either. The 15% decrease only takes effect if the enemy is hit by at least two cards; any extras make no difference. The decrease lasts for a minute.

-Counting Cards: Model S activates this skill at an immediate cost of 35% WE. As soon as the amount is paid, he's able to read incoming attacks with a higher accuracy; therefore dodging more hits. This is only used in a tricky spot and cannot be used again for another hour after activated. The effects last for a full minute.

Vicious Assault – This attack doesn't require any cards to be drawn. It can't be activated in the first 6 posts of Soren's in a battle. Hit or miss, it costs 45% WE to use. This attack shoots from the direction Soren is facing straight forward; spreading out at either side from his position for 10 feet. From that length a cascade of bursts of plasma appear from the ground, the first upward wave the starting near him small, about at knee-height before doubling in feet upward as it moves outward; the final edge of the wave the highest. The total 'square' of this attack is 20 feet width and a length of 25 feet out. Anyone caught in this square is hit for massive damage, equal to about 4 fully charged shots. This attack is built for taking out a large number of enemies in a battle dragged out too long or trying to trap a fast moving enemy/ies for a heavy shot. This attack once used can't be used again for another 2 hours.
